Fact: Most viewing vendors use the same third party technology to process native formats.
Despite using the same technology to support the same amount of formats, some viewing vendors claim they support more formats than the others. Some of our competitors count each version of the same format as a different format (e.g., each version of Microsoft Word).
What IGC Does Different
IGC offers native file processing (like our competitors), but we also offer print-based rendition capture (like Adobe), which is very accurate and brings support for a virtually any format. Most of our customers use our print-based processing because the fidelity of the display is so accurate and because it means that if the content can be printed (like an SAP report), Brava can view it.
Fact: Some viewers convert geometry-based formats like PDF, Word, and CAD to raster (just pixels).
This isn't truly supporting the format because display resolution and interactivity (text search, true measurement, hyperlinks, layer views, etc.) is lost. Just viewing a format and really supporting the richness of that format are two different things.
What IGC Does Different
IGC puts a great deal of resources into making sure the formats we support have the highest possible accuracy and interactivity, especially those formats companies use most, like Word and PDF.
